Warehouse Assistant (Production & Chemical Handling) Location: Coquitlam, BC Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Pay: $22 – $24 per hour Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Warehouse Assistant to support production and warehouse operations involving chemical and regulated materials. This role is ideal for someone who takes a cautious, methodical approach to work and is committed to maintaining a safe and compliant environment. Key Responsibilities - Safely handle and pour cleaning chemicals into containers following established procedures - Measure, weigh, and load ingredients based on formulation guidelines - Operate and monitor equipment used for mixing, blending, and packaging products - Label, seal, and palletize finished goods with a high level of accuracy - Perform equipment start-up, shutdown, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting - Monitor production processes and ensure compliance with safety standards - Conduct routine sampling and product checks - Accurately record production and inventory data - Follow all SOPs and requirements related to handling regulated materials - Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work workplace - Identify and report safety risks, spills, or process issues promptly - Support general warehouse and production tasks as required Qualifications & Experience - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work - Experience in chemical handling, production, or industrial environments preferred - Forklift experience is an asset, particularly with sensitive or liquid loads - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures - Solid understanding of workplace safety practices and hazard awareness - Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a team environment - Minimum 2 years of related experience is considered an asset Key Attributes - Safety-first mindset - Detail-oriented and consistent - Organized and dependable - Calm and deliberate approach to tasks - Strong awareness of surroundings and risk factors - Proactive and solution-driven Compensation - $22 – $24 per hour, based on experience - Higher rate offered to candidates with forklift certification and relevant chemical handling experience - Annual wage reviews based on performance, safety, and reliability IND2 Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour Application question(s): - Have you worked in an environment where strict safety procedures (SOPs, PPE, or hazardous materials handling) were required? - How many years of experience do you have working in a production, warehouse, or industrial environment (including handling chemicals or regulated materials)? - Are you comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working in a physically demanding environment?
