Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our vibrant restaurant team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items with precision, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety, and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests. Responsibilities - Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards - Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients - Ensure all food handling practices comply with safety and sanitation regulations - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations - Collaborate with team members to deliver efficient service during busy hours - Monitor food quality during preparation and cooking processes - Follow all food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure guest safety - Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of supply needs Skills - Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a line cook in a restaurant setting - Strong understanding of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation procedures - Excellent skills in meal preparation and food presentation - Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment - Knowledge of the food industry trends and customer service principles - Experience with serving guests and understanding their needs is a plus - Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team - Kitchen experience that demonstrates reliability, attention to detail, and a passion for culinary excellence Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour Benefits: - Company events - Discounted or free food - In office parking Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2nyj0h
