Job Summary Join our energetic team as an Assistant Spray Technician, where you'll play a vital role in our plant health programs and overall golf course operations. This position involves assisting with the application of sprays and treatments to greens, tees and fairways as well as other lower-use areas. You will work closely with experienced colleagues to learn the ins and outs of spray techniques, equipment handling, and safety protocols. Duties - Apply fertilizer and pesticides under the supervision of the Assistants and Spray Technician. - Partake in the calibration and application of liquid and granular fertilizers. - Track fertilizer and pesticide usage in accordance with Federal law. - Participate in other daily maintenance tasks as required. Qualifications - A diploma or degree in Turfgrass Management or related field; and/or equivalent experience is an asset. - Possess a BC Landscape Pesticide Applicators Certificate or be willing to obtain it within 90 days of employment. - Preference will be given to those with golf course maintenance experience. - Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions. - Must hold a valid Driver’s License. - General ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs. - Able to communicate clearly with management and staff. - A professional and courteous outlook. - Be physically fit, reliable, hardworking, and committed to doing a great job. - Commitment to environmental awareness and compliance with PMRA standards This role is designed for motivated individuals eager to gain practical experience in golf course maintenance s.
