Experienced Senior Marine Structural Engineer, Coquitlam

McElhanney is looking for an Experienced Senior Marine Structural Engineer in Surrey, BC. Lead innovative projects, mentor talent, and impact marine engineering practices across the region.

This position is for an accomplished engineer with over a decade of experience in marine structural designs. You will oversee technical projects, manage budgets and schedules, and cultivate client relationships. The role also includes guiding less experienced team members while working on large-scale marine structures that contribute to community infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:• Direct marine project management and engineering activities • Serve as Engineer of Record for major projects • Develop proposals and foster client relationships • Mentor junior and intermediate engineering staff • Collaborate closely with teams and clients for successful outcomes

Requirements:• 10+ years of marine structural engineering experience • P.Eng. certification with Engineers and Geoscientists BC • Experience with marine and aluminum structures • Knowledge of relevant Canadian and international codes • Proficient in structural analysis tools including SAP2000
