Recreation Aide for Seniors Housing, Coquitlam

Join West Coast Seniors Housing as a Recreation Aide and enrich the lives of seniors through dynamic programming and community involvement. Your role will focus on creating positive experiences and monitoring resident well-being.

In this position, you will report to the Therapeutic Recreation Manager while collaborating with both residents and volunteers. Your contributions will include planning engaging activities, assisting with outreach programs, and ensuring that residents are fully supported and respected in their engagement.

Key Responsibilities:• Develop and implement engaging programs for residents • Maintain communication and supervision of volunteers • Conduct monthly newsletters and activity calendars • Report on resident changes and provide necessary assistance • Ensure adherence to safety and infection control protocols

Requirements:• Minimum Grade 12 education and a Recreation Diploma • Experience in a senior housing environment preferred • Valid First Aid Level 1 and Class 4 driver’s licenses • Strong organizational and communication skills • Familiarity with basic computer applications
