Teacher (Coquitlam)

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive learning setting, fostering student growth, and supporting diverse learning needs. We are looking for a qualified and engaging teacher to work with a small group of approximately 10-15 kids ranging from Grade 1 to Grade 7 in a unique, supportive learning environment. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ lives through engaging instruction and personalized support. Duties - Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans for a mix age range - Provide individualized instruction and tutoring to students. - Create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and active participation among students. - Assess student progress regularly and adapt teaching strategies to different ages and learning levels. - Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student development and address any concerns. - Utilize classroom experience and teaching skills to manage classroom behavior and foster a positive learning atmosphere. - Incorporate communication skills to engage students and facilitate understanding of complex concepts. - Support early childhood education initiatives by designing activities suitable for young learners. Experience - Prior classroom experience is preferred, especially in early childhood education or special education settings. - Experience working in tutoring roles is highly desirable. - Demonstrated ability to teach math concepts effectively to children of varying ages and skill levels. - Strong communication skills essential for engaging with students, parents, and team members. - Knowledge of best practices in working with children and supporting diverse learning needs is a plus.
