About Ong Ba Ong Ba is a new restaurant opening in Coquitlam, offering a contemporary take on Vietnamese cuisine and hospitality. We focus on vibrant energy, warm service, and creating a welcoming and memorable guest experience from the moment guests arrive. Position Overview We are looking for a friendly, organized, and professional Host / Hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests. This role sets the tone for the entire dining experience and plays a key part in the success of our opening team. Key Responsibilities - Greet and welcome guests with warmth and professionalism - Manage reservations and waitlists (phone, walk-ins, and online systems) - Coordinate seating to ensure smooth service flow - Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, and management - Answer guest inquiries about menu, hours, and restaurant information - Maintain a clean and organized host stand and entrance area - Assist with guest recovery and special requests when needed - Assist with online ordering, delivery and food Pick-up Qualifications - Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Organized, calm, and able to multitask in a busy environment - Professional appearance and positive attitude - Experience with reservation systems (OpenTable or similar) is an asset - Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2otkem
