Accounting Clerk (Coquitlam)

We are a recruitment agency that is currently recruiting for Accounting Clerks for our clients in the Tri-Cities: Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam & Port Moody. We are looking for candidates to join our on-call Accounting Clerk workforce pool for casual/contract work. Requirements: - 3+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience - Previous experience in accounting clerk/support roles - Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite - Proficiency in an accounting software: QuickBooks, Sage etc. - Strong & accurate typing skills: eSkills assessment would be required - Excellent communication skills: written & verbal - Ability to prioritize tasks & meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment - Willingness to learn & support a team Duties: - Perform daily data entry of financial transactions into accounting software - Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments - Reconcile bank statements and company accounts on a regular basis - Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and accounts receivable - Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures - Generate reports and summaries as requested by management - Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation - Monitor and follow up on outstanding payments and billing issues - File, organize, and maintain accounting documents and records - Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal departments to resolve discrepancies - Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting regulations - Assist the accounting team with ad hoc tasks and projects as needed What's In It For You: - Full-Time/Part-Time - Contract/Temporary (Assignments can range from 1 day to 1-2 weeks at a time) - Monday to Friday - Day Shifts - Live local, work local within the Tri-Cities: Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam & Port Moody - $22-$23 an hour This position is open to all qualified applicants who are legally entitled to work in BC.
