Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist (Coquitlam)

Overview We are seeking a friendly and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our veterinary practice. This vital role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing appointments, and supporting the smooth operation of our clinic. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a compassionate attitude, and experience in laboratory procedures is a plus. Duties - Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival and departure - Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments efficiently - Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls appropriately - Manage patient records accurately and maintain confidentiality - Assist with laboratory procedures when needed, utilizing laboratory experience to support diagnostic processes - Process payments and handle billing transactions accurately - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area - Support veterinary staff with administrative tasks as required Qualifications - Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting is preferred - Laboratory experience is highly desirable to assist with diagnostic procedures - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail - Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment - Compassionate attitude towards animals and pet owners - Ability to work well as part of a team - High school diploma or equivalent required This role is essential in ensuring a positive client experience while supporting the overall operations of our veterinary practice.
