ATCO Frontec is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Camp Services team at the Artemis Blackwater Mine in central British Columbia, approximately 160km southwest of Prince George and 450km northeast of Vancouver. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing various skilled and semi‑skilled tasks for maintaining a 24/7 camp operation, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

The wage range for the role is $35-42 per hour, subject to change. The rotation will be 14 days on, 14 days off.

Responsibilities

Perform routine corrective and preventive maintenance tasks, including but not limited to plumbing repairs (e.g., leaking faucets, plugged toilets, drains, showers).

Conduct building repairs such as drywall, painting, flooring, minor carpentry, ceiling tiles, and grid systems.

Handle minor HVAC troubleshooting and repairs, including filter replacement or cleaning and duct, register, and damper repairs.

Inspect the camp and mechanical equipment to ensure proper operation and report any problems found.

Monitor temperature and humidity levels daily and report any inconsistencies to management.

Complete all maintenance service requests as assigned.

Clean and maintain exterior environments as needed.

Respond promptly to changes in client requirements and expectations.

Ensure all operations comply with client‑specific regulations, federal and provincial health&safety legislations, and ATCO corporate policies.

Navigate the CMMS system for work order management and task reporting.

Follow Health and Safety Policies and Safe Work practices.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in a similar maintenance position in a mine or camp environment.

Strong knowledge of safe work practices and procedures in maintenance operations.

Highly experienced with time management in a 24/7 operation focusing on client satisfaction.

Ability to work safely with a variety of hand and power tools and materials.

Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Class 5 driver’s licence and clean driver abstract.

Professional oral and written communication skills.

Ability to prioritize and multitask while working well under pressure.

Effective problem‑solver.
