Part Time Temporary Distribution (Cornwall)

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Temporary Distribution Associate to support our logistics and distribution operations. The operator will be responsible for sending and receiving goods, working closely with the distribution/administration team, and keeping the warehouse organized & clean when there are no shipments or receiving activities. Understanding of CCPs, GMPs, Food Safety, HSE, and food manufacturing is an asset; adherence to all Safety protocols, sanitation, communication, and other assigned tasks; and collaboration with the entire Lallemand organization and the Cornwall Lallemand team—an chance to gain valuable experience in a dynamic environment, ideal for individuals seeking temporary employment. Duties - Shipping of goods and receiving of materials and goods. - Collecting product samples for the lab, - Completing sanitation assignments, ensuring proper procedures and cleaning chemical concentrations - Preparing and verifying packaging and labels, - Shipping and Receiving duties, - Working in a manner that conforms to Environmental, Health and Safety policies, - Maintain quality and food safety for the area of responsibility and according to food safety and quality policies and procedures, - Other duties as assigned. - Document shipment details and update inventory records as needed - Ability to operate a lift truck - Ability to show up to work on a scheduled basis with minimal absences Qualifications - Having a minimum of 1 year of distribution experience in food manufacturing is an asset - Knowledge of GMPs, Food Safety and HACCP is an asset - High-level written and verbal communication skills - Physically fit and decisive - Problem-solving skills - Some mechanical knowledge and familiarity with process equipment - Ability to work in a team environment. - Strong organizational and time management skills. - Strong decision-making abilities - Good math and computer skills - Basic physical ability to lift boxes and stand for extended periods - Prior experience in warehouse or distribution settings is a plus, but not required - Reliable transportation is a must This position is ideal for motivated individuals seeking to contribute to a busy distribution team on a temporary basis, with opportunities to develop skills in logistics operations.
