Become a Historical Interpreter at the iconic Battle Memorial Building in Upper Canada Village this summer. Engage visitors with early Canadian military history and the War of 1812. This student position, available from May to September 2026, offers versatile scheduling up to 36.25 hours weekly. You will represent a premier tourism destination by teaching guests about the Battle of Crysler’s Farm while assisting with school programs. Incorporating equity, diversity, and inclusion principles as you interact with various patrons is essential for this role. Key Responsibilities: • Serve as a representative for a key tourism site • Interpret complex military history for diverse audiences • Assist with educational programs for school groups • Report safety concerns immediately to your supervisor • Wear historical costumes and corporate uniforms Requirements: • Interest in early Canadian military history • Solid communication skills with diverse groups • Ability to perform physical duties and demonstrations • Willingness to learn safety protocols • Independent work capability essential Share your passion for history and engage visitors through interpretation at Upper Canada Village.
