Drive your career. Accelerate your success! Unitech Collision CSN is currently seeking a reliable and organized Autobody Painter to join our growing team in Cornwall, Ontario. The Auto Body Painter is responsible for restoring vehicles to like-new appearance following collisions, dents, scratches, or other damage. You’ll apply expert painting, refinishing, and paint-matching techniques to meet or exceed factory standards, ensuring customer satisfaction with every job. Key Responsibilities Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting: sanding, cleaning, smoothing, masking, priming as needed to ensure proper adhesion and finish. Applies all primers, sealers, basecoats, color coats, and clear coats using the correct formulations according to the specifications provided by the paint manufacturer. Perform high-quality paint and refinishing work — including color matching and blending current paint with existing paint to achieve a seamless finish. Refinishes vehicles in accordance with insurance guidelines and the quality standards set by management. Collaborate with collision-repair technicians to understand extent of damage and any structural/body issues before painting. Maintain a clean, organized paint booth and work area; follow all safety and environmental procedures for paint and materials handling. Participate in in-house training and I-CAR training to stay current on industry best practices and techniques.
