LRT Vehicle Maintenance Technician

we’re looking for?
Your future role Take on a new challenge and apply your technical expertise in vehicle maintenance and electro‑mechanical systems in a new cutting‑edge field. You’ll work alongside skilled and collaborative teammates. You'll play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of vehicles for the Finch West LRT project, contributing to the reliability and success of critical transportation infrastructure. Day‑to‑day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (logistics, engineering, and suppliers), perform maintenance activities under the supervision of the site supervisor, troubleshoot electromechanical systems to improve performance and quality, and much more.
We’ll look to you for:
Replacing failed parts or equipment and conducting tests, operations, and maintenance of the fleet.
Performing various maintenance activities on vehicles under the supervision of the site supervisor.
Reporting any damage or shortage of parts/tools to the logistics department and requesting replacement parts, spares, or consumables.
Implement test and investigation methods based on instructions from engineering and/or suppliers.
Ensuring all information, equipment, and parts are prepared and available for efficient execution of activities.
Operating portable test equipment, testing devices, and special tools to support maintenance and repair tasks.
Adhering to EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) rules to execute all activities safely.
Reporting and recording incidents of electromechanical equipment/subsystem failures and conducting preliminary troubleshooting.

Experience or understanding of troubleshooting electromechanical systems and embedded software.
Familiarity with maintenance, testing, and operation of fleet vehicles.

Ability to work collaboratively with subcontractors, project teams, and less experienced personnel.
Experience in performing maintenance activities under supervision and adhering to safety protocols.
Analytical skills to investigate and report on equipment failures, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Organizational skills to manage tools, parts, and consumables effectively.
