Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Brick Mason to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry work, with experience in building and restoring structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and stone. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, including recent construction, renovation, and restoration of historic buildings. The Brick Mason will be responsible for ensuring accurate craftsmanship and adhering to safety standards throughout all phases of construction. Duties Lay bricks, concrete blocks, and stone according to project specifications and blueprints Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to ensure accurate execution of designs Operate power tools such as saws, drills, and mixers safely and efficiently Use hand tools including trowels, levels, hammers, and chisels to complete masonry tasks Perform renovation and restoration work on existing structures, matching original materials and techniques Apply caulking and sealing techniques to ensure weatherproofing and structural integrity Operate heavy equipment when necessary for lifting or moving large materials Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment at all times Collaborate with other construction professionals to meet project deadlines and quality standards Skills Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation relevant to masonry work Strong knowledge of construction practices, masonry techniques, and blueprint reading Experience with renovation and restoration projects is highly desirable Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately Skilled in caulking, sealing, and other finishing techniques for durable results Physical strength and stamina to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions Excellent attention to detail with a focus on craftsmanship quality Positive communication skills for effective teamwork on diverse projects This position offers a rewarding opportunity for experienced masonry professionals committed to high-quality workmanship.
