- Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years - Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years Tasks - Consult with client, engineers or production specialists to establish product requirements - Read blueprints to determine work requirements - Conduct research into cost, properties of production materials and methods of production - Computer-aided design (CAD) - Prepare manufacturing drawings, specifications and guidelines for production and construct prototype of design - Prepare design concepts, sketches or models for approval - Analyze the intended use of products and user preferences - Print in 3D Computer and technology knowledge - AutoCAD - SolidWorks software Screening questions - Do you have experience working in this field?
