Manager, OT & Critical Systems Cyber Protection (Ahuntsic)

Location Ottawa Language English Required The Manager, OT & Critical Systems Cyber Protection will lead the development and implementation of cyber security protections for Operational Technology (OT) , Science IT , and LIAS environments supporting critical departmental operations. This role is responsible for assessing and strengthening cyber resilience across non-traditional and operational environments, including systems supporting science operations , navigation services , hydrographic capabilities , and law enforcement functions . The successful candidate will oversee the identification of cyber security requirements, reduce exposure to ransomware , ICS/SCADA vulnerabilities , legacy system risks , and supply chain compromise , while advancing secure operational practices aligned with Government of Canada cyber security priorities. Working closely with cyber security operations, infrastructure teams, operational stakeholders, and enterprise governance functions, the role will establish specialized CSOC monitoring and response capabilities for operational and industrial environments. The ideal candidate brings expertise in industrial cyber security , critical infrastructure protection , OT risk management , and incident response within complex operational ecosystems. This position requires the ability to translate evolving cyber threats into practical controls, governance frameworks, and operational safeguards that ensure the resilience and continuity of mission-critical systems and services.
