Description
We are looking for a co‑op student to join our dynamic team in Ottawa, ON or Dartmouth, NS. You will join a fast‑paced, team-oriented environment focusing on infrastructure and engineering applications for our user community. Day to Day Responsibilities Building and maintaining virtual environments to host our solutions and support the team Deploying applications and services, including integration Updating and expanding applications to provide users with recent features or improved processes Writing scripts or tools, automating tasks such as setup, provisioning, environment monitoring, data collection, and reporting Evaluating new tools and technologies to improve our workflow Developing, streamlining, and communicating processes and best practices Essential Qualifications Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in Engineering or Computer Science Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript Fundamental understanding of server and desktop operating systems Enjoy working in a team environment and sharing knowledge Ability to analyze complex issues, develop and recommend options, and implement solutions Good written and verbal communication skills Team Impact Bring enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and a strong sense of ownership Ask questions to drive improvement and foster innovation Nice to Have Experience with git and a modern IDE or command‑line workflows Experience with C#, ASP.NET, and Angular Practice working with Linux and/or Windows operating systems Knowledge of VM environments or containerization tools like Docker Security General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada is registered with the Canadian Controlled Goods program. All workforce members must pass a Canadian government security assessment and be eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Successful applicants must be eligible to work in Canada. Additional Information Compensation The expected hourly rate for this position is $21.20 – $33.23. Final compensation will be based on your relevant work experience. As part of the student placement, you will be eligible for quarterly pay increases.
