Field Systems Engineer – Satellite Communications …, Saint-Laurent

SpaceBridge is seeking a Field Systems Engineer to support the deployment, integration, and ongoing operation of our satellite networking solutions worldwide. In this customer-facing role, you will serve as a key technical resource responsible for system implementation, troubleshooting, operational support, and customer enablement. You will work closely with customers, and internal engineering teams to ensure successful deployments, high system availability, and exceptional customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities - Lead customer system deployments from project kickoff through final acceptance and closure - Perform system integration, configuration, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning, and on-site installations - Deliver technical training to customer operators, administrators, and technical teams - Provide Tier-2 technical support for operational systems remotely and in office - Troubleshoot and resolve network, platform, and system issues in a timely manner, escalating when necessary - Support testing and validation of new products, software releases, and features - Maintain accurate technical documentation, deployment records, and issue reports - Collaborate with engineering and product teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives - Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction throughout deployment and support activities Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in field engineering, system integration, or technical support roles within telecommunications or related industries - Strong knowledge of IP networking concepts including routing, VPNs, firewalls, TCP/IP, and UDP protocols - Understanding of telecommunications systems, with satellite communications experience considered a strong asset - Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills - Strong communication and customer-facing abilities - Ability and willingness to travel internationally and participate in an on-call support rotation Nice to Have - Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent networking credentials - Experience with satellite communications systems, RF testing tools, spectrum analyzers, and network monitoring platforms - Multilingual capabilities including English, Spanish, Arabic, or other languages Education: - Bachelor's Degree (preferred) Experience: - IP networking: 3 years (preferred) - satellite communication: 3 years (preferred) Willingness to travel: - 50% (preferred) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2pc05r
