Child caregiver - private home (Montreal West)

About the Role

Temporary childcare provider position (40 hours per week) with work in English or French at the employer’s home. The workplace is a non‑smoking household. Responsibilities include all aspects of infant and child care, light housekeeping, and household support while parents are absent. Responsibilities

Change diapers and assist with toilet training. Assume full responsibility for the household in the parents’ absence. Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties. Shop for food and household supplies. Travel with the family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties.Wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens. Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children. Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents. Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development. Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children.Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home. Organize activities such as games and outings for children. Prepare and serve nutritious meals. Supervise and care for children. Take children to and from school and appointments. Tend to the emotional well‑being of children. Help children with homework.Assist with cooking as needed. Target audience is children of all ages. Requirements

High school (secondary) graduation certificate. 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent. Work during day, morning, evening, or as scheduled. Non‑smoker. Must pass a criminal record check. Availability to start on the listed date and flexible with travel. Valid authorization to work in Canada.Conditions

Public transportation is available nearby. Repetitive tasks, attention to detail, and personal suitability are required.
