Privacy Law Consultant at CIHI (Ahuntsic)

Become CIHI's Privacy Law Consultant and make a real impact in health care. You’ll provide strategic legal guidance on data protection and compliance practices within a recognized team. This role requires an experienced Legal Counsel who will offer insights on privacy legislation and compliance. Under the guidance of senior legal personnel, you will streamline CIHI's privacy policies and support various corporate and legal initiatives. Your expertise will be crucial for protecting personal health information across Canadian health systems. Key Responsibilities: • Advise on legal matters related to privacy and health information • Prepare compliance reports for senior leadership • Assist in developing Privacy Impact Assessments and audits • Monitor legislation trends and provide recommendations • Negotiate contracts to ensure legal adherence Requirements: • LL.B and active Law Society of Ontario membership • CIPP/C Certification will be an asset • Five years of relevant post-call experience • Extensive knowledge in privacy, corporate, and IT law • Proficient in drafting, negotiation, and communication skills Contribute your legal expertise to enhance CIHI's commitment to transparent and effective health care in Canada.
