Job Posting: Professional, Design Engineering Aerostructures Location: Saint Laurent QC Company: AAA Canada (mandate for a major player in the aerospace industry) Type: Permanent Benefits and Perks - Sick leave days to support your well-being - Comprehensive group insurance program - Career advancement and professional growth opportunities - Stimulating work environment with large-scale aerospace projects - Health, wellness, and development program - Market-competitive salary - Employee Assistance Program - Free parking Responsibilities - Perform mechanical design using CATIA V5 and oversee the production of detail drawings and installation drawings for the work packages under your responsibility - Interpret the technical specifications required in the aerospace field to develop solutions that meet assigned design requirements - Support production operations on Bombardier’s multi-platform aircraft programs (Challenger 350 / 650 and Global 5500 / 6500 / 7500) - Understand and resolve airframe and systems issues by providing technical support to themulti-site assembly line (QRO, Dorval, Toronto) - Work closely with other disciplines such as stress, materials and processes, systems, flight sciences, design, methods, quality, and operations to achieve the company’s business objectives - Participate in projects aimed at increasing productivity, reducing waste, and improving financial performance - Plan and meet project schedules while respecting allocated budgets - Lead projects and support the development of colleagues - Collaborate with experienced, dynamic, and efficient multidisciplinary teams dedicated to projects to achieve results - Work in collaboration with internal and external suppliers to support the manufacturing team as needed - Be actively involved in bringing your designs to life by supporting, as a designer, the manufacturing, assembly, and installation phases of your deliverables Skills and Qualifications - You have a degree in mechanical engineering with eight (8) or more years of experience, or a technical diploma in mechanical engineering with twelve (12) years of experience in a similar role - You have excellent knowledge of CATIA V5 design and modeling software - You have strong knowledge and experience in the design of aircraft structure/system installations - You have solid experience in machined parts, as well as sheet metal design and manufacturing - You demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility, sound practical and technical judgment, and flexibility - You are dynamic, a good listener, and have a strong interest in teamwork - You are able to manage priorities effectively - You can work under pressure to meet design deadlines - You are familiar with Microsoft Office tools such as PowerPoint and Excel - You have strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and French - Knowledge of composite design and Fibersim software is an asset - You are able to organize your work independently Interested in contributing to the future of aerospace?
