Senior Communications Leader for CVRD, Courtenay

Join Comox Valley Regional District as a Senior Communications and Engagement Advisor. This full-time position emphasizes effective public engagement and comprehensive communication strategies.

As part of the Communications and Engagement Team, you will lead initiatives that require strong writing and interpersonal skills. Focus on executing communication strategies that align with CVRD’s goals, while serving as a liaison with media and advising senior leadership. You will develop social media content and manage various public engagement projects.

Key Responsibilities:• Develop multi-channel communications to support CVRD programs • Coordinate media responses and public inquiries • Assign tasks and oversee communication staff efforts • Conduct market research and community feedback sessions • Manage content for the CVRD website and social media

Requirements:• Degree in communications, public relations, or marketing • At least three years of relevant communications experience • Experienced with social media marketing • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office • Must possess a valid BC Class 5 driver’s license
