Insurance Advisor (Courtenay)

About the Role We are looking for a motivated, client‑focused Insurance Advisor to join our team, working in both our Courtenay and Comox locations as needed. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year insurance experience and a General Insurance Level 1 licence (with the ability to obtain a Level 2 licence within 24 months). The insurance advisor will assist in growing our Commercial, Wealth & Life department through referrals, holistically serving our clients so they are fully protected in their property, liability & personal income protection and planning. Key Responsibilities - Engage with clients to understand their needs and recommend appropriate insurance solutions and drive the sales, service, and profitable growth of Personal Lines insurance products - Meet individual goals related to client service, sales and productivity - Proactively contribute to team goals by identifying and cross‑selling additional products and services that would benefit clients - Build and maintain long-term multi-product client relationships - Balance multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changes - Stay current with industry updates, products, and regulatory requirements What We’re Looking For - Level 1 Insurance Licence (required) - 1+ year of insurance experience (preferred) - Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly - Shows outstanding professionalism and exceptional customer-service standards - Demonstrates the ability to take initiative on individual tasks while contributing effectively within a team environment - Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills Additional Requirements - Flexibility to work at two separate office locations (Courtenay & Comox) as needed - Successful completion of a Criminal Record and Consumer History check is mandatory - This is a fully in-office position; no remote work option is available Why You’ll Love Working With Us We offer a supportive, team-oriented environment where your growth and success matter.
