Mill Controller Role In Port Alberni

Domtar is seeking a Mill Controller for its Port Alberni, BC location to oversee finance activities and support operational efficiency. This full time role requires robust financial leadership and management reporting. As the Mill Controller, you will report to the Divisional Controller for Paper and Packaging and the General Manager. Your role involves managing accounting and finance functions while ensuring compliance with regulations and corporate policies. You'll lead financial analyses for projects and provide essential support to improve profitability and efficiency across the mill. Key Responsibilities: • Manage site-level accounting and finance functions • Ensure timely internal and external financial reporting • Lead financial leadership decisions for cost-effective strategies • Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes • Maintain solid internal control systems with audits Requirements: • 10+ years of management experience in manufacturing accounting • Bachelor's in Accounting or Business; CMA/CPA/MBA preferred • Advanced Excel and ERP system knowledge (SAP preferred) • Excellent communication and time management skills • Proven leadership ability fostering teamwork Enhance operational efficiency with your financial expertise at Domtar's Port Alberni mill.
