Accounting and Admin Assistant (Courtenay)

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized in-office Accounting and Admin Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will help our team prepare accurate financial records and provide administrative support. This position requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of financial processes. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, adept at data entry and account reconciliation. Responsibilities - Perform bookkeeping tasks, including maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers. - Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial statements. - Utilize accounting software for various accounting tasks. - Perform monthly reconciliations. - Organize and book appointments for property maintenance. - Prepare letters as requested. - Support the property and strata teams in various admin tasks as needed. Skills - Proficiency in accounting and strata software such as QuickBooks, Buildium, and Condo Manager - Solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bookkeeping principles. - Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy. - Ability to perform account reconciliations effectively. - Familiarity with financial services terminology and practices. - Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
