Location: Powell River/qathet Regional District Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:30 to 4:30 Salary Or Wage: $28.48 to $29.65 per hour Start Date: As soon as possible Job Type: Temporary List of Requirements

Grade 12 education and completion of a recognized Medical Office Assistant (MOA) program, along with a minimum of one (1) year of recent experience in a medical or clinical office setting. Knowledge of medical terminology and standard clinical office procedures Demonstrated knowledge of privacy, confidentiality, and ethical standards related to the handling of personal and health information in a healthcare settingSuccessful Criminal Record Check First Aid&CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and successful Driver’s Abstract Strong computer literacy, including proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and the Microsoft Office Suite Strong skills in data entry, electronic filing, and document management systemsAbility to adapt to and learn new technology and software tools Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities Effective organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritize in a busy work environment Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detailAbility to exercise sound judgment and discretion Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team Knowledge of Indigenous health and wellness practices List of Duties

Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with Tla’amin policies, standards, practices and procedures to the highest standard. Maintains confidentiality pertaining to members, clients, employees and general matters of the Nation. Greeting patients and visitors in a professional and respectful mannerScheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating patient flow Performing patient intake and maintaining accurate electronic and/or paper medical records Preparing referrals, correspondence, and documentation as required Managing phone calls, messages, and inquiries following established proceduresProcessing forms and related administrative documentation Maintaining strict confidentiality of personal and health information Answer, screen and route incoming calls promptly and courteously Monitor NP’s schedules and keep Health Receptionist up to date on changes as required Maintain an organized, clean and efficient work areaMaintaining strict confidentiality of personal and health information Applying privacy, confidentiality, and ethical standards at all times Supporting clinic operations in accordance with organizational policies and procedures Performing other related duties
