Childcare Manager (Port Alberni)

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Childcare Manager to oversee daily operations within our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring a safe and nurturing workplace for children, and coordinating educational and caregiving activities. This role requires strong leadership skills, a passion for early childhood education, and experience working with children. The Childcare Manager will play a vital role in fostering a positive atmosphere that promotes learning, development, and well-being for all children in our care. Responsibilities - Supervise and support childcare staff to ensure high-quality care and educational programming - Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development - Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and safety standards at all times - Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns - Coordinate schedules, and maintain accurate records - Provide mentorship and training opportunities for staff to enhance their caregiving and teaching skills - Foster an inclusive environment that accommodates children with diverse needs. - Monitor the physical environment to ensure cleanliness, safety, and suitability for children’s activities Experience - Prior classroom experience in early childhood education or related settings is highly preferred - Experience working with children from diverse backgrounds - Demonstrated ability to teach, care for, and engage young children effectively - Background in caregiving roles within childcare centers or similar environments - Knowledge of best practices in early childhood development and safety standards This position offers an opportunity to lead a compassionate team dedicated to nurturing young minds.
