Early Childhood Educator Port Alberni

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in early childhood education, caregiving, and working with children of diverse needs, including those with disabilities. Responsibilities Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and exploration Support children's individual needs, including working with children with diverse backgrounds. Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and daily activities Ensure adherence to all safety standards and licensing regulations Assist with classroom management, including behavior guidance and conflict resolution Collaborate with team members to develop curriculum plans and improve program quality Document children's developmental milestones and maintain accurate records of attendance and activities Experience Prior experience working with children in an educational or caregiving setting is preferred Classroom experience in early childhood education is highly desirable Experience working with Children with diverse needs. Knowledge of early childhood education principles, teaching strategies, and developmental milestones is essential Demonstrated ability to create engaging lesson plans and adapt activities to meet diverse learning needs Robust communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, children, and families.
