In this temporary full-time role, the Parks Maintenance Worker will perform maintenance duties in parks and greenspaces. Ideal candidates will have experience in horticulture and strong skills in plant care, irrigation, and landscape maintenance. You’ll contribute to the community by ensuring the beauty and upkeep of local parks, sports fields, and trails.

Key Responsibilities:• Maintain sports fields, gardens, and trails effectively • Execute horticultural tasks relevant to Vancouver Island plants • Read landscape plans and operate survey equipment • Utilize hand tools and lift heavy objects as needed • Work outdoors under varying weather conditions

Requirements:• Grade 12 or equivalent education • 2 years of relevant horticulture experience • Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License • Pesticide Applicator License required • Strong knowledge of local plant materials
