Youth & Family Program Worker Opportunity (Courtenay)

Make a difference with School District 71 as a Youth & Family Program Worker. This part-time role is focused on supporting at-risk youth and families in a collaborative school workplace. The position offers 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, at Nala'atsi, with a pay rate of $34.07 plus 16.3% in lieu of benefits. Ideal candidates should hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Child and Youth Care or Social Work, alongside at least two years of experience. Your role will involve direct support, crisis intervention, and engagement with families and community agencies. Key Responsibilities: - Provide individual, small group, and family support - Recognize and address needs of at-risk students - Facilitate collaboration with schools and agencies - Support Individualized Education/Service Plans - Maintain accurate case documentation Requirements: - Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field - Minimum two years’ experience with at-risk youth - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Valid Class 5 B.C. driver's license - Ability to work independently and as part of a team Help create supportive educational environments for students and families in need.
