Job Summary: We are seeking a highly-motivated and skilled research scientist with a strong educational background in Biochemistry, Bioprocess Engineering, or Protein Chemistry to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold a PhD degree and possess hands-on laboratory experience in extraction, purification and characterization of bioactive components. Moreover, experience in industry is highly desirable but not mandatory. This role requires the ability to perform independent research, design and execute experiments, prepare scientific reports, conduct literature reviews, and contribute to grant writing and scientific publications. The candidate must have a solid understanding of scientific principles and methodologies, with a keen interest in advancing research and innovation. Key Responsibilities: - Design, plan, and execute laboratory experiments independently. - Conduct literature reviews and stay updated with the latest scientific advancements. - Analyze data, interpret results, and document findings in scientific reports. - Write and contribute to scientific publications, grant proposals, and technical documents. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external research partners. - Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and best practices. - Collaborate in the organization and safety of the research labs. - Communicate with third-party vendors and contractors for equipment procurement. - Perform and schedule laboratory equipment maintenance. Qualifications: - PhD in Biochemistry, Bioprocess Engineering, Protein Chemistry - Proven laboratory research experience with the ability to conduct independent experiments. - Proven laboratory research experience in extraction, purification/isolation of bioactive compounds, and characterization using analytical chemistry and biochemistry techniques. - Strong understanding of scientific principles, methodologies, and analytical techniques. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills for scientific reporting and grant writing. - Ability to manage multiple research projects efficiently and meet deadlines. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
