**EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY** **Agricultural Farm Worker** **(6 Full-Time Month Contract)** **Duties Include:** - Farm bed prep & creation - Harvest and wash produce - Deliver produce to programs - Assist team with distribution of produce to members weekly - Apply organic fertilizer to fields - Assist team with supervision and mentorship of youth employment hires - Assist team with events and workshops - Any other duties that arise will be assigned by Management weekly **Education/Experience:** - Secondary completion and/or a combination of relevant experience and education - Farm knowledge or training is an asset but not required. The willingness to learn is essential - Ability to work unsupervised and in a team setting - Ability to lift 50 lbs. safely and consistently - Ability to work for long periods outside in rain and sun - Experience working with hand tools and small machines, ex; mower and weed eater - Ability to take direction and implement instruction in a face paced environment - Class 5 BC driver’s license **Wages:** $25 per hour commensurate with qualifications. *We wish to thank all applicants for their interest; however, only short-listed candidates will be contacted for interview.* Pursuant to the Tsawwassen First Nation *Government Employees Act*, first priority in hiring among qualified applicants will be given to Tsawwassen Members, second priority to spouses (as defined in s. 3 (1) of the BC *Family Law Act*) of Tsawwassen Members, and third priority to members of other First Nations.
