Emergency Fire /Flood Restoration Manager (Delta)

Job Summary Emergency Manager Manage and supervise the effective execution of all emergency division projects. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: · Approach all aspect of the work being performed with safety as the highest priority · Prior to project start assist in creating and revising preliminary master schedules for production staff, detailing the sequence of all work to be performed · Provide cost control and cycle time control with emphasis on increased profits and proper allocation of resources · Communicate with project managers, project managers assistants, production staff, adjusters, owners, subcontractors and vendors to discuss impact of work and resolution of problems · Manage GPS reporting and monitoring for emergency division vehicles · Ensure company vehicle policies are adhered too and enforced · Ensure all company vehicles are inspected on a regular basis and provide documentation of inspection and any corrective action taken · Ensure company dress code is adhered too and enforced · Review work requests for accuracy and clarity: clear scope of work, realistic completion date, proper lead times, correct equipment identification, proper charge number, proper authorization, and discuss details with originator of the work order · Enter schedule specific information into scheduling program (T-Sheets) · Approve all timecards in an efficient manner (by 10am the following day) · Create monthly emergency production on-call rotation list by the 15th of the prior month · Provide job specific information to project managers, project managers assistants, production staff, adjusters, owners, subcontractors and vendors as necessary · Assess and conduct production staff training · Research and investigate new technologies (equipment, processes, products, etc.) · Perform probationary and annual performance evaluations of emergency production staff and provides required documentation · Conduct and document all disciplinary infractions · Active member of weekly managers meeting with VP Of Operations · Active member of Joint occupational health and safety committee · Manages safety notifications and communication to the emergency department staff · Generate purchase orders as needed (Overflow assistance to maintain efficiency) · Direct monthly emergency staff meetings · Develop a performance management process with all employees having regular feedback and specific development plans · Ensure collective and individual expectations are met and resolve disputes and complaints, where possible · Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the project with our clients. KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge - Minimum three years management experience - Knowledge and experience of MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, QuickBooks, Encircle - Knowledgeable about the principles, methods, and practices within the job duties (basic knowledge of restoration a must, advanced knowledge an asset) - Valid class 5 B.C. driver’s license with a clean driving record Skills - Excellent communication skills both written and verbal - Strong customer service skills - Highly organized with attention to details - Strong supervisory skills - Decision making skills - Effective multitasking skills - Well-developed organizational skills This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about restoration work and are looking to lead a dedicated team in transforming spaces back to their original condition.
