TRUCK DRIVER OR OWNER OPERATOR FOR BC TO WA (Delta)

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials within a designated local area, ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate various types of vehicles and equipment. Duties - Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight and materials to designated locations. - Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transport. - Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. - Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times. - Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. - Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment as needed for loading and unloading tasks. - Assist with basic automotive repairs or maintenance on vehicles when necessary. Requirements - Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required. - Experience in freight transportation or logistics is preferred. - Proficiency in operating forklifts and heavy equipment is a plus. - Robust knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations. - Ability to perform basic automotive repair tasks is desirable. - Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and clients. - Must be able to pass background checks as required by company policies.
