Production Assistant (Delta)

We are currently seeking a motivated Production Assistant to join the team of our esteemed client, a well-established leader in the bakery and food manufacturing industry. In this essential role, you will be at the heart of the packaging department, ensuring that high-quality products are prepared efficiently and safely for distribution. Position: Temporary to Permanent Role: Production Assistant Location: Annacis Island, BC Pay Rate: $22.61 Schedule: Rotates weekly Sunday to Wednesday / Sunday to Tuesday 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (2 x 30 min unpaid breaks + 3 x 15 min paid breaks) Requirements: Must be eligible to work in Canada Must be punctual, dependable, and able to commit to full-time hours Previous experience in food production is a strong asset Must be able to do heavy lifting and can be good for repetitive lifting. Physically adept at managing high-volume, heavy-weight materials with consistency. Accurately package, tray, and box finished products according to specific guidelines for shipping and handling. Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work area by sweeping floors, cleaning machinery, and removing waste. Adhere strictly to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety procedures at all times. Assist with material handling, including stacking trays and boxes on pallets and moving supplies to the production line. Support general cleaning of machinery and the plant facility as assigned during production stoppages. Qualifications Solid verbal communication skills for effective collaboration within a team environment. Excellent attention to detail to ensure product quality and accurate documentation. Ability to work effectively and maintain composure in a fast-paced, high-pressure manufacturing setting. Proactive problem-solving abilities, particularly when clearing machine jams and addressing minor equipment issues. A strong sense of teamwork and cooperation, with a willingness to assist colleagues wherever needed. Good physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks while standing for extended periods - lifting up to 55 lbs Familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP''s) Comfortable wearing PPE including hair/beard nets, and no jewelry allowed Steel toed boots required; all other PPE supplied Previous experience in manufacturing/production setting is an asset Summary Are you the skilled Production Assistant we are looking for?
