Manager of Engineering Design in Delta

Lead engineering design initiatives at the City of Delta, BC, as the Manager of Engineering Design. This position involves project coordination, design, and ensuring compliance with regulations. This exempt role reports to the Deputy Director of Engineering and requires managing in-house engineering projects like watermains and roadway infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and at least 5 years of experience. You'll present high-quality, cost-effective engineering solutions while engaging with the community and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Coordinate and design engineering projects from conception to completion - Review contract documents and develop engineering designs - Conduct field inspections for project compliance - Prepare project schedules and budgets effectively - Engage with stakeholders and ensure community consultation Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with Professional designation - Minimum 5 years of related engineering project experience - Solid knowledge of transportation and utility design - Experience in public sector projects is an asset - Valid Class 5 driver’s license required Utilize your engineering expertise to enhance municipal infrastructure in Delta.
