About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), to lead Ocean Trailer's Accounting Team at our Head Office in Delta, BC. Primary Responsibilities - Overseeing full-cycle accounting across multiple entities - Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports under ASPE - Managing intercompany transactions, reconciliations, budgets, and variance analysis - Maintaining cashflow forecasts to support operational and strategic planning - Working closely with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning - Ensuring compliance with tax, regulatory, and reporting requirements - Coordinating with external auditors and liaising with CRA on GST and tax matters - Overseeing tax filings for corporations, partnerships, joint ventures, and trusts - Maintaining strong internal controls and accounting policies - Reviewing and approving payroll, taxable perks, and regulatory filings - Overseeing T4s, T4As, WCB, EHT, and related submissions - Other related duties that may be assigned from time to time About You - Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline - Designated CPA, required - Experience in a relevant industry, preferred - Proven experience with accounting software, and working knowledge of NetSuite preferred - Strong knowledge of accounting principles, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and budgeting processes - Excellent account reconciliation and account analysis skills - Ability to interpret financial data and prepare detailed reports for management review - Solid organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy - Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and external partners - Ability to be courteous and professional with customers and co-workers, while establishing and maintaining solid relationships - Strong team management experience - Ability to work well under pressure - Ability to make informed decisions and/or suggestions to improve efficiency Perks & Benefits - $125k - $150k, based on experience - Comprehensive benefits plan (Dental, Extended Medical, Vision Care, Life Insurance, AD&D; Insurance, LTD Insurance, and an Employee Assistance Program) 100% paid by Ocean Trailer - Membership and/or designation reimbursement, including required annual professional development courses - Health & Wellness Allowance - On-site gym - RRSP program - Annual bonus - Service and safety recognition programs - Bi-weekly company lunches - Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2pcebr
