Construction Apprentice Carpenter (Delta)

What You Will Be Doing As an Apprentice Carpenter, you will work alongside experienced carpenters and site supervisors to support the successful construction of a multi-unit wood-frame hotel project. You will gain valuable hands-on experience while assisting with a variety of carpentry and construction tasks. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: - Assisting with wood-frame construction including walls, floors, roofs, backing, and structural components - Assisting with layout, framing, and installation of walls, ceilings, blocking, bulkheads, and backing - Assisting with wood framing quality control to ensure work is completed accurately and to project requirements - Installation of doors, windows, hardware, millwork, and finishing carpentry components - Assisting with installation of handrails, guardrails, and other architectural details - Material handling, site preparation, and maintaining organized work areas - Safely operating hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment - Ensuring work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards - Maintaining a clean, organized, and secure work environment How You Will Succeed The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, and eager to learn. What You Will Need - Previous carpentry or construction experience is considered an asset - Enrolled in or interested in pursuing a Carpentry Apprenticeship - Experience on multi-family residential, hotel, and/or commercial construction projects is considered an asset - Basic understanding of wood-frame construction practices - Ability to read and interpret construction drawings is considered an asset - Experience safely operating hand and power tools - Strong work ethic and attention to detail - Good communication and teamwork skills - Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment - Willingness to work overtime when required - Steel-toed boots, tool belt, and basic carpenter hand and power tools - WHMIS and Fall Protection certifications preferred - Additional safety certifications and equipment operator tickets are considered an asset How to Apply To apply for the position of Apprentice Carpenter, please submit a cover letter with your resume to the email address provided.
