ASCO Aerospace Canada is a division of Montana Aerospace, with our facility located in Delta, BC. We are looking for a Maintenance Specialist to join our Production team at the Canadian operations. Position Summary The Reliability and PM maintenance expert is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving the plant’s preventive and predictive maintenance strategy to ensure high equipment reliability, asset integrity, and operational efficiency. The role ensures that maintenance activities are planned, scheduled, executed, and documented in alignment with safety, quality, and productivity standards. This role strengthens weekday coverage, mitigates retirement‑related skill gaps, and contributes to reduced unplanned downtime across machining, blending, assembly, and facility systems. The role ensure increased equipment reliability by performing advanced troubleshooting, Key Responsibilities 1. Preventive Maintenance Strategy - Develop and maintain the facility’s Preventive Maintenance (PM) master plan. - Define maintenance intervals, scopes, and standards for all critical assets. - Implement predictive techniques (vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, etc.) to anticipate failures and reduce unplanned downtime. - Ensure PM programs comply with OEM requirements, internal reliability standards, and regulatory obligations. - Planning & Scheduling - Create and manage weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance schedules. - Prioritize work orders based on risk, equipment criticality, and operational needs. - Coordinate shutdowns and major overhauls with production, engineering, and safety teams. - Ensure spare parts availability in collaboration with the maintenance stores and procurement teams. - Execution & Supervision - Supervise and support maintenance technicians and contractors during PM tasks. - Ensure all activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with procedures. - Validate completed work orders, review reports, and ensure proper documentation in Up Keep system. - Asset Reliability & Performance Monitoring - Track and analyze equipment performance, failure modes, and maintenance history. - Use KPIs through Up Keep software and OPE monitoring such as Availability , MTBF, MTTR, PM compliance, and downtime reduction to drive continuous improvement. - Identify recurring issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). - Continuous Improvement - Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for critical equipment failures. - Optimize PM routines to reduce downtime and maintenance cost without compromising asset health. - Support digitalization initiatives, such as predictive analytics and automated condition monitoring. - Safety & Compliance - Ensure all maintenance activities follow plant safety procedures and standards (LOTO, permits, PPE, etc.). - Maintain compliance with environmental, regulatory, and quality requirements. - Conduct regular audits of PM activities and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Qualifications - Red Seal Millwright (or equivalent) required. - PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen-Bradley/Siemens) preferred. - 5+ years industrial maintenance experience; aerospace machining experience an asset. - Skilled with Fanuc/Siemens controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PM/PdM techniques. - Strong data literacy (trend analysis, MTBF/MTTR tracking) and CMMS proficiency. - Strong communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving capabilities.
