Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and experienced 5 Ton Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods, materials, and equipment to various locations while maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficient driving, and effective communication with clients and team members. Duties Operate a 5-ton truck for local deliveries and pickups, ensuring timely and accurate transportation of goods Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual handling, adhering to safety protocols Assist with moving heavy or bulky items within warehouses or delivery sites Maintain proper documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs to ensure safety and compliance Follow all traffic laws and company policies during transportation activities Qualifications Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating a 5-ton truck Proven experience in commercial driving, warehouse operations, or related fields Solid knowledge of moving heavy items safely and efficiently Experience with forklift operation is preferred but not required; training may be provided Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed during loading/unloading processes Valuable customer service skills to ensure positive interactions during deliveries Warehouse experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with logistics and inventory handling This position offers an prospect to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to safe, efficient transportation services.
