Posting date: May 25, 2026 JOB POSTING: GENERAL MANAGER The British Columbia Potato & Vegetable Growers Association (BCPVGA) is seeking a highly organized, relationship-driven General Manager to support and strengthen BC’s potato and vegetable sector - a vital contributor to our province’s food security and agri-food economy. We are looking for a proactive, community-minded leader who thrives in a energetic environment and enjoys balancing operations, industry relations, project coordination, communications, and strategic initiatives. About the Role The General Manager serves as the operational lead for the Association and works closely with growers, researchers, government partners, and the Board of Directors to advance industry priorities. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who: · enjoys taking initiative and working independently, · can manage multiple projects and deadlines, · is passionate about agriculture and food systems, · and excels at building productive relationships across industry and government. What You’ll Do Operations and Administration · Lead day-to-day association operations and administration · Coordinate Board meetings, agendas, minutes, and reporting · Oversee budgets, invoicing, payroll coordination, and financial tracking · Maintain organizational systems, workplans, and reporting processes Industry Relations and Communications · Build strong working relationships with growers, government, researchers, and industry partners · Represent the Association at meetings, events, and industry initiatives · Lead member communications including newsletters, website updates, and social media · Support membership growth and engagement Research and Funding Coordination · Coordinate research projects and field events with growers and researchers · Prepare grant applications, funding proposals, and project reports · Track project budgets and deliverables · Identify funding and partnership opportunities that support industry innovation Events and Programs · Coordinate the AGM, Potato Day, field days, and industry events · Secure sponsorships and coordinate speakers, venues, registrations, and promotions Qualifications We recognize candidates may bring experience from different backgrounds.
