Join us, and together, let''s shape a brighter future for B.C. Responsibilities An employee shall meet the qualifications and perform all of the required duties of an LNG Operator 3. Shall perform operating, maintenance and other dutiesin a safe, efficient and effective manner. Required to respond to emergencies and plant process upsets. Shall work with minimal supervision, work effectively as a team member with other employees and contractors, and make decisions as required to achieve and maintain optimum plant operations. Load LNG containers as required. Will perform shunting and staging activities as required. Shall liaison with Logistics for communication for loading or unloading requirements. Receive, unload, inspect, record, store, issue, load, and ship equipment and materials as required or assigned. Perform basic maintenance and other duties as directed. Requirements Must have a high school diploma. A valid British Columbia Class 1 drivers license, with a provided drivers abstract for the purpose of shunting at Tilbury LNG Operations. Demonstrated ability to evaluate conditions and make decisions to achieve optimum plant operation, particularly under critical circumstances and stressful conditions. Demonstrated mechanical understanding to ensure the safe operation of plant equipment at all times. Demonstrated ability to communicate in both verbal and written form and be capable of maintaining neat, accurate records and detailed logs of plant operation. Demonstrated ability to be cooperative and meticulous. Must have demonstrated secure work habits and adherence to safety regulations and practices on a sustained basis. Must be in good physical condition and the ability to climb ladders and work at heights beyond 3 meters. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Must be prepared to work rotating schedules and shift work. Additional Information All successful candidates will be required to complete pre-employment verification, including, but not limited to, drug testing, physical assessment, reference checks and a criminal record check. Proof of qualifications and a record of a recent drivers abstract from the last 5 years will be required (BC Class 1 equivalent). Preference will be given to candidates who hold their Fourth Class Power Engineering certification. Must be able to work rotating 12-hour shifts, 7 days on, 7 days off, alternating days and nights. All successful applicants will be required to obtain Occupation First Aid 1 within 6 months of being hired into the position. This role may have standby requirements based on operational needs.
