JOB DESCRIPTION Midland Transport is currently seeking a full‑time Financial Systems Specialist based out of Head Office in Dieppe, NB. The selected candidate will be a self‑starter with a strong work ethic and a "Can Do" attitude. Reporting to the Director of Finance Systems&Process, the Financial Systems Specialist will be a key member of our Finance team, supporting the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and managing optimization initiatives to improve efficiency. This role will work closely with Midland’s Transformation team to drive innovative, enterprise‑wide improvements. The Financial Systems Specialist will play a hands‑on role in shaping modern processes, elevating system capabilities, and accelerating change. We are looking for a strong process‑oriented candidate who can work cross‑functionally to build, support, and optimize standardized processes, leveraging their understanding of how finance systems, processes, and transactions operate across departments to identify and implement improvement opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Represent the Finance department in cross‑functional meetings and collaborate on projects to meet departmental requirements
Serve as a subject‑matter expert for business knowledge of how systems, integrations, processes and transactions work together between departments when they interact with Finance
Manage the implementation of optimization initiatives, fostering a positive environment for change management
Lead or participate in finance‑related projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met
Analyze current process health to identify new process improvement opportunities and system enhancements
Act as a liaison between Finance and IT teams, translating business requirements into technical specifications
Oversee general support issues and contribute to the solution design process to align with business needs
Conduct testing and training activities as required
QUALIFICATIONS
College or university diploma/degree in Accounting or Business
Knowledge and experience in JD Edwards, Cognos, Microsoft Power Platform, TM1 considered an asset
Proven track record of participating in ERP implementation or upgrade projects
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues with strong technological proficiency, coupled with a natural aptitude for systems and a continuous improvement mindset
Experience in system integrations, data migration, change management, and testing during ERP projects
Proficiency in financial data analysis, process optimization, and data governance
