Production Operator (Amherst)

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring that machinery operates efficiently and products are fabricated to meet quality standards. This position requires a solid understanding of various manufacturing processes and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Contribute to production optimization and continuous improvement efforts - Assemble & test electronic circuit boards and related components on Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Machines - Assemble LED Roadway lights at various stages of production - Work with hands assembling small components - Maintain accurate records of production output and machine performance. - Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and resolve any production issues. - Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment. - Adhere to all company policies and procedures Physical Requirements: - Must be able to sit/stand for long periods - Must be able to lift up to 50lbs - Must be able to communicate clearly (written and verbal) Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: - High school graduate or equivalent - Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting is advantageous. - Strong attention to detail - Some knowledge of Manufacturing, and Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Technologies is preferred - Strong interpersonal, problem-solving skills along with demonstrated technical and organizational abilities - Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. - Interest in electronics and mechanical builds - Ability to stand for long periods - Capable of distinguishing between colors Join us as a Production Operator, where your skills will contribute significantly to our production goals while ensuring high-quality standards are met consistently.
