Responsibilities Reporting to the Electrical Coordinator, this position will job shadow and support Electrical Journeypersons in both preventative and non-preventative electrical troubleshooting and repair of machinery, equipment, and technology. More specifically, this position is responsible for:

Utilizing technical skills to execute planned maintenance and addressing break-in work (PMs, inspections, rounds, rebuilds, planned maintenance down days)

Testing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electrical and electronic components

Documenting all maintenance work (scheduled and break-in) and its status within the work order system and maintenance logbook

Adhering to all Site and Department Safe Practices, and ensuring anyone working in their immediate area is held to those same standards

Assisting in the troubleshooting and programming in distributed controls (DCS) and programmable controls (PLC)

Assisting qualified tradespeople in their day-to-day activities

Maintaining and installing control equipment

Participating in preventative maintenance, continuous improvement and process improvement

This role offers an optimal work experience in all aspects of the Electrical and Instrumentation trades in a safety-conscientious environment.

Qualifications

Education Required: High School Diploma, enrolled in an Electrical, Controls and Technology programs and in good academic standing

Available for full-time work from September to December 2026
