Horizon Childcare Center Inc. is currently hiring a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our team. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children and supporting a positive learning setting. Job Responsibilities Assist classroom teachers in daily childcare routines and activities Support children during play, meals, rest time, and transitions Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom setting Supervise children both indoors and outdoors Encourage children’s social, emotional, and developmental growth Assist with diapering/toileting and hygiene routines if required Follow daycare policies, licensing regulations, and health & safety procedures Maintain positive communication with staff and families Help prepare learning materials and classroom activities Qualifications Experience working with children is an asset ECE student or childcare experience preferred Valid First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain) Vulnerable Sector Check required Solid teamwork and communication skills Reliable, punctual, and professional Job Type: Part-time Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week Benefits: Dental care Employee assistance program Extended health care On-site parking Education: Secondary School (required) Experience: Early childhood education: 1 year (required) Licence/Certification: First Aid Certification, Vulnerable Sector Check, (preferred) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2oxmmf
