Construction Worker (Amherst)

Casey Realty Limited is seeking a reliable and hardworking Construction Worker to join our team in Amherst, Nova Scotia. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has strong attention to detail, and works well as part of a team. Responsibilities - Load, unload, and transport construction materials - Perform pre-operational inspections on tools and equipment - Read blueprints and determine work requirements - Assist with framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs - Perform routine maintenance and construction support tasks - Operate or assist with machines and equipment used in construction - Maintain a clean and safe job site Equipment & Tools Used Experience with the following tools and equipment is an asset: - Reciprocating saws - Air compressors - Air guns and nail guns - Drills - Forklift - Hand tools Requirements - Secondary (high) school graduation certificate - Previous construction experience is an asset - Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) - Steel-toed safety boots required - Criminal record check required Work Environment - Residential construction sites - Noisy and dusty conditions - Physically demanding work - Fast-paced environment Candidates should have: - Manual dexterity and valuable hand-eye coordination - Attention to detail - Ability to handle heavy loads Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who is: - Dependable and reliable - Accurate and detail-oriented - Flexible and hardworking - A strong team player with good communication skills Benefits - Employer-paid training and learning opportunities - Paid time off (volunteering or personal days) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.75-$19.00 per hour Expected hours: 37.5 per week Benefits: - Paid time off Ability to commute/relocate: - Amherst, NS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Education: - Secondary School (required) Experience: - Construction: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2p06oh
