Job Overview
Permanent position at a wood products manufacturer in Canada. English is the working language. Responsibilities
Assemble wood products such as window sashes, doors, boxes, pallets, ladders and barrels. Make minor adjustments and repairs to wood products. Record information on products inspected. Assemble door panels, trusses or modular components to create prefabricated housing. Read blueprints, written specifications and production drawings.Pack items for shipping and distribution. Reinforce assembled products with dowelling or other supports. Install hardware such as knobs and hinges. Inspect wood products for conformance to quality standards. Mark defective parts or products for repair. Trim, smooth, and shape surfaces. Train staff.Prepare, sand and trim wooden furniture and fixture parts. Qualifications
No degree, certificate or diploma required. 1 to less than 7 months of experience in wood product assembly or related field. Experience with power tools and small hand tools. Proficiency in using nail guns, pneumatic devices, precision measuring instruments and saws. Familiarity with assembly line, doors and frames, and window sashes.Ability to use carpentry and woodworking machinery. Strong attention to detail and hand–eye coordination. Physical ability to bend, crouch, kneel, lift heavy loads, stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Work Environment&Conditions
Fast‑paced environment requiring manual dexterity. Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and handling heavy loads. Requires steel‑toed safety boots. Transportation&Location
Position requires own vehicle or reliable transportation; public transportation is not available. Benefits
