Teaching Responsibilities The Canadian Studies program and the Department of English Literatures at Mount Allison University invite applications for a twelve‑month replacement position at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will teach five undergraduate classes in person in English and Canadian Studies, including “Introduction to Canadian Literature” (second‑year), a third‑year “Special Topics in Canadian Literature”, a co‑taught first‑year Canadian Studies course, a fourth‑year seminar in Canadian Studies, and one additional class to be determined.
Qualifications Candidates should have a PhD (or be ABD with an imminent defense date) in English (Canadian or Indigenous Literatures), or Canadian Studies, or a related field such as Cultural Studies, Indigenous Studies, Black Canadian Studies, History, etc. Applicants should describe their teaching and research experience in literary studies and interdisciplinary Canadian Studies and should be an active scholar of contemporary Canada.
Applicants will join small, active programs with opportunities for collaboration with the Centre for Indigenous and Critical Canadian Studies.
